Fort Worth has trusted James Bothwell, M.D., to perform joint reconstruction and repair procedures for more than 10 years, earning him a reputation as one of the area’s leading orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists. Dr. Bothwell is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and fellowship-trained in sports medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He received his medical degree from the University of Rochester in New York and went on to complete his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency, also at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Bothwell’s special interests include ACL reconstruction, sports medicine, and specialty care of the knee, shoulder and elbow. In addition to addressing all facets of general orthopedics, he treats injuries such as fractures, tendon and ligament tears, and disease and inflammation caused by tendonitis or other orthopedic conditions. He is trained to perform advanced, minimally invasive techniques to help bring pain relief and improved mobility.

Dr. Bothwell is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Tarrant County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and Texas Orthopaedic Association.
